After ten years I decided to slack off the towboats and build another sternwheeler. This one is in the planning stages at the moment. I've decided to build a small boat in 1:24 scale. I got the idea for a boat to push an excursion barge I wanted to build. I thought what better than a small sternwheeler to push it. Sorry guys I'm not too experienced with metric scale, but the boat including wheel will be 44 inches long and 10 inches wide imperial scale. The wheel will be 7 1/4 inches diameter.

That sounds interesting Joe, I hope you'll show us some photos during construction?

Here's what I've come up with. Already got the hull laid up.

Well, slowly but surely. Got the decks painted. Painting the hull tonight. Already have it fiberglassed and ready to go. Any good ideas on doors and windows? I have a couple, but I would like to see what you guys ideas are.

It looks like it will sit low in the water, I would have closed and watertight doors and windows on the main deck level. Save the opening and working ones for the upper deck.

Gerald.
