Title: Newbie from Caracas, Venezuela
Post by: jandradem on January 04, 2011, 04:08:26 AM
It can still be said: Happy new year to you all.
I am a 79 year old retired acountant and live in Caracas, Venezuela. But I do have one son who is an oral surgeon and in helping him with some of his needs to use in his patients mouths (Titanium bone distractors, dental implants, bars, screws) I have come to own one small Emco compact 5 lathe and a midsize Peerless with milling head. We are now in the process of helping out a traumatologist. As you can see, everything I have made (And it is not money) end in other persons mouths or hands and nothing is left for me.
So I have decided to go into modeling myself some gadgets that I can show as mine and plan on building a couple of steam engines to begin with. I am sure that will be quite satisfactory.
That decision made it follows I have to join a group of knowledgeable people that I can hopefully address with elementary questions if they are not is the FAQ section. I have searched around and chosen you.
I am sorry it is not the other way around and hope you will bear with me.   Best of all to you and oyur loved ones.

Julio.
