Hi Winfried….this is how the banks make their money…………..they electronically deducted my AUD $89.76 from my account just after midnight Saturday 04.12….but will take 3 days to deposit the same €64,70 in your account……………………………………………………..computers are really fast at removing $....by very slow in depositing € …or am I just cynical?......................Derek

It's not being cynical at all Derek as you well know.... If the bank hangs onto everyones money just for a few days, they have millions (probably billions) of dollars to use for investments without it costing them a penny!
That's one reason why I only use a bank as a last resort! Most of the time my bank account is empty, and my credit card is paid as soon as I receive the statement, so they don't earn anything from my money either!
