Title: Website upgrade
Post by: Eddy Matthews on November 23, 2010, 05:58:33 AM
Hi guys,

The website will be undergoing an upgrade tomorrow, so we get up to date with all the various pieces of software - So there may be periods when some things don't work as expected, and times when you cannot access the site.

Once everything is upgraded, there won't be much that looks different, but it will make things more secure and hopefully keep ahead of the hackers and spammers (some hope!).

Regards
Eddy

There is a temporary problem with the menu buttons on the forum, this will be remedied in due course.....

Okay, most things are now working, though there is still a minor issue with the menu button layout, and the background colours.....

I'll get that sorted later - I need a break from modifying PHP code!

Well it's taken a while, but I hope I now have everything back into a reasonable state?

If you spot any errors, please let me know!

Quick question, is anyone else getting this? (see image)
my screen looks like this since the upgrade, any ideas what could be causing it?

My apologies - I've found the problem and corrected it.....

Actually it was caused by a bug in Internet Explorer, which is why I didn't spot it - I use Firefox. Internet Explorer is the pain of my life with all of it's none standard code!!

Eddy

Everything is still there Kiwi - Nothing has been changed recently. I use Firefox too, so I know it's working.... Try deleting your browser cache and see if that clears it.

Eddy
I have the same problem with Google Chrome even after clearing the cache. No problems with IE. Possibly a browser change responsible?
