Post by: bluepedro54 on October 28, 2010, 01:18:27 AM
Hello all, I have just purchased my first paddle boat, called the talisman, going on what pictures i have seen, the one i have must be an early version,It has a single stack, and a single mast  forward of the wheelhouse, It is a bit tattered but in due corse will be restored to its formal glory, so just need some help and a point in the right direction, as to where i can get some photos of it, i think its pre 1935, can anyone help me out please with a link or something to some pics many thanks peter.

There have been two Talisman's Peter, the first built in 1896 by A & J Inglis of Glasgow, and the second built in 1934, again by A & J Inglis.

Photos are attached below....

Hi Peter,

Further to Eddy's answer, when first built, the 1935 Talisman only had one mast, a second was added after WW2.

If you could post a photo, i'm sure you will get an instant identification and pointers towards photos/plans etc for which ever Talisman you have.
