Title: Large scale figures?

Does anyone know where I might find some 1:16 scale figures?

Figures in Victorian dress would be ideal, but I guess that's pushing things a bit far?

Any help would be appreciated

Tamia make a full range of international military figures, some of which may be suitable for conversion.

This architectural model supplier offers a couple of 'industrial figures' no idea wot they look like though.

British garden rail figures are 1/18th scale and tend to be slightly overscale and come in a variety of periods. they tend to be made by small "cottage industry" firms. If you are in Smiths have a look at a British magazine called GARDEN RAIL for suppliers. (Note there is an American Magazine with a similiar name but  US garden railways tend to be 1/22.5 scale so will be a buit small. There are also a few manufacturers of dolls house figures in 1/16th scale but they atr a bit too doll-like.     look in the two catalogues HOBBYS and HOBBIES (of Deham as they used to stock these smaller figures. Thanks guys,

None of the military figures I've seen are even vaguely like what I need. I've emailed EMA to try and get photos of the figures they list - But I may as well have save my effort as they just don't respond :(

All the garden railways stuff I've found is between 1:20 and 1:24, which are all too small - I may have just got away with the 1:20 figures, but the only supplier I can find is Buchmann and they base their fgures on a 5'5" person, so are far too small!

So, any other suggestions guys?

some action figures are about that scale (6 foot tall man would be four-and-a-half-inches high?) might be worth looking at some of the toy shops - but you may have to 're-style' them to get what you need...
...and avoid DALEKS obviously  ;D

I noticed 'early learning centre' do some but not sure of the scale - the pirates looked quite good though..

My son and I had the same problem with our Bohemia paddler, in the end we used some figures from the link bleow and we thought they were very good value and the delivery service was very quick.

The scales of the figures he sells are 1/43 and 1/76.

Hi Eddy. Have a look at www.modeltown.co.uk    - they do a range of 7/8th scale figures, look at thye edwardian range- I think they would all pass for victorians (long dresses tail coats etc). plus some of tyhe railway workers would pass as victorian sailors and crew. PLUS they are not expensive. Regards, Walter
