In the model-exhibition forum is a photo of how to fit an overlength paddleboat model into a small bedroom.
Years ago, I visited a friend's HO-scale model railway. His pride was a model of a USA 'Big Boy' articulated, which he demonstrated on his turntable.
I could believe that it fitted.
Later he revealed the secret: it didn't fit. However, with a 14-wheel tender, he had been able to remove the rear axle, and no observer ever noticed.
