Lang mey yer lum reek – Literally "long may your chimney smoke", it means live long and happily.....

Just thought I clear that one up as I don't suppose a German would have the faintest idea what Bob is talking about!  ;)

Regards
Eddy

I was told the full translation was;
Lang may yer lum reek!              (Long may your chimney smoke!)
Wi' ither folks coal!                    (With other people's coal!)
Now we don't want Hans getting in trouble with stolen coal do we.
Regards,
Gerald.
