Sad news for all paddler enthusiasts,
PS Stadt Zuerich was on Sunday on her normal run from Zuerich to Rapperswil when around 11am the starboard wheel broke. 90 passengers must be rescued by the Seepolizei, no one was hurt, the ship was then towed to the shipyard. It was planed to replace the now 101 Years old wheel during a refit in the winter 2011/2012. The cost will be around 150000 Swiss francs.
