Dr Marcus Rooks presents an item on building a paddle wheel steam engine (Dodman) in the September 2010 issue.
Their website indicates this magazine will be on sale 6th August.

I belive it was quite an interesting article and idea, build a paddle engine by using old Tich parts. Looking forward to see his build of PS Menna.
I really like the feathered paddle wheels, but didn't really understood from where he got the parts.... seems like casted alloy. He mention the paddle wheels from Reeves but those are not
the one in the article.
Anyone able to enlighten me about the origin of the parts/wheels he used ?

FWIW, it's the ET Westbury castings from reeves he used for the wheels in the article.
Now listed as separately parts at AJ Reeves, 35/304T - GBP 5.23 each for the frames
and 35/304U - GBP 2.35 each for the casted paddles.
Makes it possible to build a pair of 5 3/4" feathered wheels which is exactly what I'm looking
for to my paddler.
