Hi All,

whilst i do not have a boat to put this in i will be making a free standing arrangement so that i can learn the finer details of steam. when i say finer details i actually mean any details as i have very few. I therefore will be picking your brains on this subject.
all the best

Is this the one that was offered on Ebay recently? From what I've heard, it must be a good and reliable engine. But those square section cylinders aren't my taste and kept me from bidding ;D
It would be nice if you could describe its performance or make a video of it running.

Hi,
Thats the one, made by Bogs, who will be making me a few spares. I am going to do an air run at the weekend. i will try to capture a video of it. My plan is to put it into a paddler that does not have an open top therefore would not be visible. As a first attempt at steam and in a paddler to boot i wanted and engine that i knew would perform.
After that i plan on machining my own engines. :picknose assuming skill set.

Sounds and look great.
Is it running off the Iwata airbrush compressor?
Regards,
Gerald.

Hi Gerald,
it is yes, not ideal practice but its the only air supply i had about.

Hello Ian, a cracking looking wee engine and seems to run rather sweetly on a low volume of air. It'll be interesting to see whih hull you decide to put it in.

Good video it dispels the myth that slow running cant be obtained from that form of reversing gear. R.G.Y
