Walking at Firkin point on the West bank of Loch Lomond when I spotted this interesting half model of the 1907 Waverly sitting on a table outside a holiday cottage. It has seen better days I think, but the owner told me that it has been in his family for at least thirty plus years to his certain knowledge. He was cleaning it up prior to mounting it on a wall inside.

it looks like a "mirror back" model to me, without the mirror.
wonder who originally made it....shipyard model perhaps.

An Interesting find Andy. Thanks for sharing.
Just for info the Waverley was 1899

Many thanks for the correction. I got the erroneous date from a website but strong possibility I may have misread the information. Paddler history is not one of my strong points but Lachie gave me chapter and verse last night.
