Hi PDs
Does anyone on the site know where I could find a picture of either PS Cleethorpes or PS Cruising Queen?
Both built 1903 by Gourlay Brothers and sister ships.
All the best

Well that was a mistake - I thought I'd see if I could help Stuart out with his enquiry, so I went to Google and typed in "Cruising Queen" as a search....
All I got was loads of links to Gay clubs!! :a102
I did try Stuart, honest!!

Perhaps PS Cruising Queen should have been sold to San Francisco instead of PS Eppleton Hall?

Thanks Roderick!
I know about the drawings and have been putting off getting them from Dundee until I had some images of the ships.
Thanks for the interest.

There is a photograph of the PS Grimsby and the PS Cleethorpes at New Holland Pier in the book "The Humber Ferries" by Alun A. D'Orley. However the detail of the ferries is poor. The Grimsby Public Library appears to be the source of the photograph.

The image in the book is poor. Which one is the Cleethorpes I leave to you to work out!(http://wlcnma.blu.livefilestore.com/y1psbZOYPhShddiwcxMN3Tu3tlT9dxWNEHdA-lujFr-UT-WFPvnEPNrULqu17wiYaPwkjdZi7pb3JalQ49FN-8QdEZnZUOLC_fG/ps%20cleethorpes001.jpg)
Both my wife and I were born in Cleethorpes so we have an interest in your research.
All the best
