Hi, I've just uploaded a few more photos of my ongoing Alligator tug build to the gallery.
Has anyone else built one?
-
Hi Andy,
I haven't built one, but have a good friend who has. Are you modeling a specific boat or is a freelance model? The model is shown in the water the boat it was modeled on is on shore.
Regards,
Gerald.

Hi Gerald, mine is roughly based on "Bonnechere"

That photo I haven't seen before, where did you find it?
The only Bonnechere I knew of is a Russel Brothers Boat. http://stevebriggs.netfirms.com/osmrm/xbonnechere.html
I think I found it

Is that the one?
Regards,
Gerald.
PS the photos don't want to show up.
Looking through I do have some more photos of the Bonnechere.
Looking at he hull I think it is a Russel Boat.
-
Yup, that's the one

The Alligator hull reminds me of the Springer hull. If you got a buddy to build one, you could play water-soccer like the prop-driven Springers. Be something different at your next club meet. I'm planning same sport with a pair of solar sidewheelers :-).

No curves like a Springer, very barge like with flat bottom. John's Max is very often called on for rescue duty, with its flat bottom and independent paddles it is very maneuverable and weed resistant. Unless very over powered it would be a very slow water-soccer game.
Regards,
Gerald.

I already have a Springer, it's very different from the Aligator
