hi all,,i have a general interest in doing anything creative,,and have always liked playing around with models,,have built a couple of r/c yachts,,and would love to eventually build a steam powered paddle steamer,,i currently live in a small town in the dandenongs,but i am looking toward moving soon to live on the murray river,,or near it.
I am a sheetmetal worker by trade,,but have also had a lot of experience working with carbon fibre and do a bit of fitting and turning as well.
at the moment i gain a bit of extra money making unique products out of wood,,and still do a bit of welding,mainly stainless steel.
ive read some of the posts,,and note theres a number of other aussies here,so now theres another,,be nice to get to know all of you no matter where from,and thank you for accepting me,,regards,,dan

Your multi trade skills [OK @ most, but master of none] sound like they will put you in good stead as a model builder

Hi Dan and welcome to Paddleducks,
My Dad used to say he was a JOAT Jake of All Trades, and that it was a proud family tradition. It also made the bosses reluctant to let you go when things slowed down.
