Title: Waverley Clyde October sailings
Post by: djcf on October 19, 2009, 08:28:36 AM
Waverley coming into Dunoon this afternoon, returning from Rothesay & Tighnabruiach.

Is anyone going on her tomorrow to view the QM2? Would have liked to have gone ...but working  :(

Have a good trip Kim, she passed Dunoon about 0630ish this morning, a huge blaze of lights, & very quiet too.

Hi All

Went out to see the QM2 depart this eve.
She is not nearly as good looking as the QE2 in my opinion. she has a nice bow but i think they ran out off money for the stern. I looks very much like a cruiser stern for another boat welded on to the back as an after thought.

I found myself chasing the Waverley more than the QM2 a far better looking ship  ;D ;D ;D
Was really good to see the Waverley as busy and she really was heeling over with everybody on the port side, of course i ran around the starboard side to see the wheels :0

( i have enhanced the pic of her wheel as it was getting dark)
A couple of pics.

Thanks for posting the pics as I didn't make it over to see her. Could hear the firework display in Balloch!

Interesting pic showing the starboard wheel, with the list on it gives a better view  ;D
