Mississippi sidewheelers Robert E. Lee
Not really my thing but maybe of interest to others -
Another German site(i used google to translate) - they do have some pretty good modelling suppliers over there but a bit pricey :(
''The Robt. E. LEE is one of the most popular site Mississippi steamers. The original was built in 1866 in New Albany, Indiana, USA.
More than 100 years, the Mississippi was one of the most important trade routes in the United States and the competition was fierce. And so it came to the legendary race.
The most famous race, 30 June 1870 won the Robt. E. LEE. The then established a record of 3 days and just over 18 minutes is still used by the Robt. E. LEE kept.
Here you have a hull that offers maximum mounting space for the "technical equipment", since you also need for this body no ribs and struts.''
