Some years ago, the Wirral archives posted the Cammell Laird ship list then it disapeared. The archivist sent it to me recently as the first time around I only copied a few pages thinking it would be the "forever". It is 34 ages long (about 1400 ships) and names a great many paddlers. If anyone would like a copy, I will be happy to email it out. If there are numerous requests, I'll see if Eddy won't post it for general consumption. It is too large for upload at 400kb.

I'm sure the lists would be very useful Dave - You can actually upload up to 500kb into a message, or up to 2Mb into the Downloads area....
What format are the lists in? The reason I ask is that the forum and the downloads area will only accept certain file types - To stop anyone uploading exe files and that sort of thing, which could cause harm!

Hi Eddy,
Here is the list. It is in html format just as the archivist sent it to me. It preserves to 3 column format. If one wants to save as text, open in browser, select it all and past it in to your text program, save as text--columns go away. Hope this is useful. Wirral has apparently no intention of putting this back on line.

This list is wonderful. Can plans be ordered somewhere?
Cheers,

G'Day Greateastern
This is very good information a great list. I recently contacted the Wirral archives asking for information on the Liverpool and North Wales Steam Ship Co and any information on Paddle Steamers. They told me they did not have any information, so they must have deleted it completly.
Thanks for posting this list.
