Just looking around on Google Earth and tracked down the remains of the first KC now on the banks of the Dart - well whats left.

Very interesting pictures!
It must be possible, to find some other wrecks and remains also in remote areas.
For example: I tried to find some remains of the german explotating steamer "Welf"
on river Juba in Somalia (ca. 25 km north of Bardheere, Somalia - see at "Construction")- but until now the photos even on this part of the country at google earth are so blurred, that no details can be seen.
But we can try to find something at ports of the great rivers in Asia, Africa and South America - may be some unexpected treasures are awaiting us!

I am trying to locate the Dartmouth Castle which at one stage could be seen in a similar state to the first KC from what I gather but having no joy as yet . . . if anyone knows her last know location speak now !

She still at old mill creek, not much of her on display though, she has become part of a retaining wall.
