Title: Photo Gallery
Post by: Eddy Matthews on May 26, 2005, 07:35:39 AM
The photo gallery software has had a MAJOR upgrade - Most of the changes from the users point of view are minor, but it has increased the security features dramatically to stop unauthorized users from accessing the files and to stop the web robots from taking HUGE amounts of data...

This means that we won't have Google (and others) grabbing files left right and centre and using up bandwidth on the Paddleducks website.

If you notice any problems, please let me or one of the other moderators know - Preferably with as much detail as you can give about what caused the error.

I don't expect any problems, but you never know!

One user (that I know of) had a slight problem after I upgraded the Photo Gallery software.... Each time he tried to view a photo it would pop up an error saying he needed to be registered to view photos, even though he WAS registered!!

The solution was simple,  he just deleted the paddleducks cookie files so they were recreated on the next login - and voila, everything now works!

So if you experience a similar problem, logout from the forum AND the photo gallery, and try deleting your cookie files. Then login again - hopefully that should sort it.
