Have posted a video of Lachie Stewart's Caledonia sailing at Rouken Glen on YouTube. Build is nearly finished and I noticed on my last visit to his lair that he was completing the lifeboats almost ready for fitting.

Apologies to Eddy for the size of some of my uploaded photographs - will take more care in future

Some more pictures and video of Lachie's Caledonia sailing at Lomond Shores. I really like this model and think that it looks very realistic on the water. Lachie has done a fine job on it.
The original was built just three miles away at the Denny yard in Dumbarton where my father and grandfather worked for many years.
To the uninitiated the background picture to the closing credits on the video is of Lachie winning the 10000 metres gold medal at the 1970 Commenwealth Games, a feat which turned him into a national hero.

Great model! I love the way she handles the 'swell'

Yep I agree, fantastic ;D
Apparently the full size ship was a good "sea boat", seems like the model is also!

Great photos! I like the first and last ones in particular.

Couldn't resist ;D

Just watched the movie. What a super craft. A credit to the maker, indeed.

Lachie sailed the Caledonia on Loch Lomond last week for the first time in a while. Looked as good as ever, especially with the full size Maid of the Loch as a backdrop. He also sailed his rebuilt American fourstacker, the Aaron Ward, which can be seen in one of the pics.
