Title: That worked
Post by: Merv on April 09, 2009, 07:23:06 AM
Now that I have managed to make a post I can say a little about myself.
My name is Mervyn but most people call me Merv.I have built most types of models and have a fairly wide set of interests.I am 46 and work as a registered operatin theatre practitioner in an Essex hospital. My twin boys have cerebral palsy and my wife was left disabled after their birth. This means I have less time to build but find I enjoy gathering information about my favorite subjects.I do have a couple of specific questions that members may be able to help me with but I will post them separately to make things simple.

Welcome to Paddleducks Merv, good to have you with us.

Hopefully you didn't find posting your first message too daunting? Once you get the hang of it it's pretty easy really :hehe

For my sins, I'm the guy that runs Paddleducks - God knows how I talked myself into that one, but I did...

I don't want to bore everyone, but I also have a few problems to deal with at home. My wife suffers from epilepsy which isn't controlled by medication, and my youngest daughter (now 25 years old) is severely mentally and physically handicapped, so I do appreciate the problems that those things can cause!

The good thing is that modelling is a superb way of "getting away from it all"!

Regards
Eddy
