Guys I found this by accident, you have probably seen it already, but it opened my eyes to the possibility of a gray hulled paddler ;D

Several pictures there of ships in wartime guise, see the link 'pleasure steamers at war' lower down that page ( http://freespace.virgin.net/tom.lee/navy.htm ) I think I remember someone here finished a princess elizabeth kit like those...
