Title: Confederate Blockade Runner
Post by: brian freegard on March 26, 2009, 06:54:07 AM
I am nearing completion of this "free plan" model and I am wondering if anyone has any recommendations regarding the type and capacity of the battery. I am considering using 7.2 or 9.6V AAs. Your thoughts will be welcome

I use vapatech (link below)
He used to list single cells tabs and heat shrink to make your own packs up.

I discovered this build diary on RC Groups boards and thought it may be of interest (could the builder also be a member here? don't recognise the name - 785boats )
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=773432  the last page has a youtube video of it sailing.
page two has a brilliant (to my way of thinking!) way of making cowl vents...

Yes, Paul has an innovative way of doing things when it comes to his builds.
