Bourne's book on the screw propeller has finally made it to gogle

but be aware that several of the plates are blurred or missing. I have reported that to google, but they are a sloppy outfit and this may not be corrected in our lifetimes. Most books on google that I have looked at are sloppily scanned but there are many very interesting books on naval architecture, shipbuilding etc all for the asking. U of Michingan's collection of the Transactions of the Soc of Naval Arch and Eng is now on-line as well, again plates are missing or blurred but not all. With a good speedy connection, you can easily save yourself hundred of dollars if you are a reader and not a collector of these great old books.
BTW, Bourne's other books on steam are there as well, and complete.
gutenburg is a much better site but they have few books on naval subjects and there scans are very carefully done.
