Hello,
I became interested in boating when I, and a friend, bought a 20-foot steam launch which, up to now, has been used on the Great Ouse, launching at Huntingdon. I had always intended to build a model steam launch and bought a copy of the February 2008 Model Boats magazine, which contained the last part of an article by John Gray on the building of PS Glen Rosa, and I was hooked!
I purchased all the back numbers for this series of articles and have since been buying up parts for the boat. I still intend to build my model steam launch but after that, the Glen Rosa could be next. I would be very interested to read if anyone else has built this paddle steamer using the construction notes in Model Boats that started in October 2007.
Regards,
Mike

Hi Mike,
Welcome to Paddleducks....
I don't know anyone who has built the Glen Rosa, but from what I remember of the article it seemed like a fairly straightforward build. No doubt our members should be able to answer most questions you may have, as we have a wide range of modellers who are all interested in paddlers, so most problems have been experienced by one person or another - Therefore we should be able to steer you in the right direction! :hehe
Regards
Eddy
