Title: PV Killawarra [Goolwa, Australia]
Post by: Roderick Smith on January 30, 2009, 09:01:56 AM
The attached pdf shows PV Killawarra stranded at its Hindmarsh Island mooring (the other side of the main Murray channel from Goolwa.
Stranding was an annual seasonal event for Murray paddlesteamers, but this low water is longer-term, with no promise of a high 6 months later.
The level must also be affecting operation of PS Oscar W; it is also affecting the 2009 Wooden Boat Festival.
William Randell was shifted from Hindmarsh Island to Goolwa wharf well before the water dropped to this extent.

The file was supplied by member Mike Smith.
There is more on Killawarra in the various APAM threads, available by using the search function.
