Does anyone have any photos of the Elbe paddler Dresden that they could post on the forum please?
I've ordered a small card kit, which I may enlarge to use as templates for a working model, but I'd like to collect some photos together to help with the build, so if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.
Regards
Eddy

For a built of this paddler i would ask at the owners, I am sure, they can send a copy of the original plans. Usually these plans are available in the archives.

Hello Eddy,
I have the plan of the paddler "Dresden".
It's a very interesting ship, even because it is possible to see the whole engine and the forefront of the boiler with the oil burners from the standpoint on main deck. If you are interestet, I can send a copy to you in about two weeks.

Thanks Guys....
Tom, yes I'd be very interested in a set of plans if you have them - I'm not in any rush, so whenever you have time would be fine. Contact me via PM and we can arrange things when your ready....

I have never photographed the Dresden fleet: nine paddlesteamers in one fleet.
The company also has two smaller motor vessels, and two large diesel saloon vessels.
I couldn't find an English option within the page, which is very comprehensive. It includes lots of diagrams and data.
Google Translate isn't hopeless: mildly stilted, but nothing is missed.
The PS/DS/RD fleet:
PD "Diesbar" PD "Dresden" PD "Dresden" PD "Krippen" PD "Nativity" PD "Kurort Rathen" PD "Rathen" PD "Leipzig" PD "Leipzig" PD "Meissen" PD "Meissen" PD "Pillnitz" PD "Pillnitz" PD "Pirna" PD "Pirna" PD "Stadt Wehlen" PD "Wehlen"
Diesbar (built in 1884) is the only one which is coal fired.

The company is running a program through to 31.12, then a break to March. There does seem to be a Christmas dinner cruise.
I was reviewing this site having placed a photo of RD Freya in the random opening selection. It is based in Kiel.
Link in via
www.adler-schiffe.de/cruise
which leads to www.adler-schiffe.de/cruise/freya/virtueller-rundgang.html
The timetable shows December cruises through to 31.12.
There are several hobby websites with information, eg

There several good Youtube clips:

with side links to lots more

Hello Eddy- I am still catching up! I have two superb DVDs of the White fleet at Dresden, both about an hour long with lots of shots of DRESdEN in action. One is in English, the other in German. Any good?. Walter
