Post by: michael88 on October 27, 2008, 11:10:00 PM
HELLO ALL. NEW TO PADDLEDUCKS .NEW TO BUILDING SHIPS . I'M TRYING TO BUILD RESIN MODEL OF P.S.WAVERLEY 1/280 SCALE. MODEL HAS BEEN IN CUPBOARD FOR NEARLY FIVE YEARS BUT PLUCKED UP COURAGE TO MAKE A START. IT'S A TRIBUTE TO MY NANA WHO AND GRANDAD WHO LIVED ON THE CLYDE (JUST OUTSIDE INNELAN?)
I'M HAVING TROUBLE WITH THE POSITION OF DECK AND FITTINGS.IF ANYONE HAS PLANS/PHOTOS/POSITION OF THESE WOULD BE VERY GRATEFUL. OR MODEL COULD BE STENDING ANOTHER FIVE YEARS IN CUPBOARD.

Hello Michael,

Welcome to the group.

Though many of the members are up in years, you don't need to yell. (Typing in all capital letters is interpreted as yelling).

There is a fascinating thread of a step by step construction of the Waverly going on right now. Check out this thread, http://www.paddleducks.co.uk/smf/index.php?topic=3503.0 (http://www.paddleducks.co.uk/smf/index.php?topic=3503.0).

Tug-Kenny has spared no expense in sharing with us his build. He updates almost daily his build experience as well as providing excellent photo documentation. He's run into numerous problems but with patience and some suggestions from members of this board, he's overcome them all.

You too should be able to get your Waverly up and running if you stick with this site.

Randy

Hi Mike,

I done an article on WAVERLEY in the MARINE MODELLING magazine in April 1990 with plans, and I think they are still available in their plans service, and I'm from not far off Innellan originally.
