Greetings To All:
I've studied this forum and found it most interesting relative to steamboats. While I am an artist, craftsman and modelmaker; it's been duly pleasureable to inherit the title 'forerunner' relative to my status as a modelmaker of steamboats that operated in the Northeast of the United States.
I've been in this profession for 35 years, producing one of a kind sidewheelers for collectors, family owners of these vessels and artists who have used my models as references for their paintings, in kind.
Next year on the Hudson River here in New York, we will be celebrating the Quacentennial of Henry Hudson's HALF MOON c.1609. It is in this celebration that some of my Hudson River sidewheelers will be featured in various exhibitions, along with my HALF MOON.
For those who are interested in this Celebration, whether from the UK or the States, I would be most pleased to share any information, in kind, as this will be a major event in New York State!
To view some of my steamboat models, feel free to visit my site at www.rexstewartoriginal.com.
Again, it's good to be part of this forum.
Respectfully,
Rex Stewart
