Nice boats. Are these old or new?
-
Most built within the past 10 years.

Oh cool. Didn't know people are still building them.

Chris I'm planning to build a small 18 to 20 feet side paddle wheeler as my next project, once I build a small steam engine. Do you have any more details of these boats shown or how to contact the builders/ owners?
I have the plans for the American "Rebel" design and I have the study plans and photos and builders comments for the UK "Minette" design which I think is a very nice little boat.

Hi guys, I have found the site for these paddlers myself.
www.steamboat.org.uk/register
The list is alphabetical but you can scroll down and find the paddlers from their descriptions. The photos are there with the details of the builder, the hull, engine and boiler etc. Their names are: "L'Aigle" with the loco boiler. "Andante" is the little open steamer. "Firecrest" is the cabin boat.
I found the site by going to Google looking for photos of "Jersey Liy" which is the name of the "Minette" design by Glyn Lancaster Jones which I think is a neat looking little paddle steamer.

I saw Firecrest at a rally probably 20 years ago or more. The owner told me he had built her himself, the steam engine is made from the cylinders, connecting-rods etc from a scale railway locomotive.

I hadn't seen that before, very interesting, had to look twice when I saw the name of this one - http://www.steamboat.org.uk/register/html/pudd0475.htm
