Oooooh! Derek, number 3 was a bit below the belt, it's my grandfather I have lost in my family search, not my dad. But thru Burkes peerage I can get back to the 1100's and was big mates with the king at the time and almost certainly related, so a bit more respect please, otherwise it just might be the chop for you my lad, and we're not talking about your dangly bits. :respect :rant
With regards to my imbibing alcoholic beverages. Just looked at the back of my fridge. Bought a dozen cans of Carlsberg to celebrate last new year, and half a dozen botts of plonk. Plonk has just been finished, but still seven cans left. Will have to check the dating, but it might do for this new year, and the next one as well. :beer :angel
BTW here is my latest creation, but a long way off being finished.

Hi John,
Not being a customer of the Beer store, I have a few questions;
I know what Carlsberg is (there the ones with the lovely draft horses pulling a wagon), but what is plonk?
Regards,
Gerald

Gerald,
Plonk be cheapo wine that is consumed anytime rather than special occasions
You know, the real good special stuff at 99cents a bottle (2 litres). The bottle is worth more than the contents.
This is different to plonker (previous post), which suggests a person of lower than average intelligence.
But who cares.

Hi John,
Now I have it straight too much Plonk and you can go plonker.
I'm glad I gave up serious drinking in 74, along with smoking.
Regards,
Gerald
