Title: Hi from good old Penzance
Post by: Keith B on October 12, 2007, 08:38:42 AM
Hi all, The names Keith, I have just singed up as I am looking to start building my first (real) RC boat, and as I have learned from my time with land based cars, there is no point messing around with the 2nd rate stuff, you might as well go straight for what you intend to end up with.
So I am looking to build a Mississippi paddle steamer about 4' long! Can anyone advise me if there are any kits available, or will I have to build it from basic?

Currently I am running 1/8 scale Nitro off road, which is fast and furious, but great fun, I help to run what is proberly the best track in Cornwall, as well as being a member of the Admin staff on the website.  http://www.kernowoffroadtrack.co.uk/

But probably have a little time for messing about on the water,  so if anyone can give me any helpful advice, I would be very gratefull.

Cheers all,

Keith.

Hi Keith, welcome to Paddleducks....

The first kit that springs to mind is the Creole Queen, manufactured by the American company Dumas.... Do a search on Google and you'll soon find it.

I'm sure there are others, but I'm mainly a scratch builder, so I don't really take a lot of notice of kits. Maybe someone else can help?
