A bit of a sad event...

Out of a sea of conflicting plans for next year, Mac Murray's post has brought resolution.
Heading to Yakutsk for the Russian paddlesteamer was becoming an organisational nightmare, and is worth delaying until the railway there is complete.
USA had been a second runner (over 6 years since my most recent visit).
I am now planning a holiday which will include Delta Queen, and cruising Peterborough -Trent Canal (Ontario, Canada) in the commercial boat. This gives me the locks and the ship lifts, but not the inclined ship railway.
Most of my railway coverage will be urban, and most on the east coast (San Francisco is going to be tricky to fit with ease).
To my shame, when I was staying in New Orleans, I had the time to make an evening cruise on Natchez, but was too tired to justify the money. Is Natchez cruising again?
Whether fake or not, I feel obliged to cruise on Minneapolis Queen.
Now could some Padlleducker compile a list of modern paddlewheelers in USA: available for commercial cruising, and static preserved and static derelict hoping to be preserved (ie, in the style of Sean's LoP P&M list)?

This will give you some, but probably not all

I seem to remember this has happened to Delta Queen before, and it may be political to try and pressure the politicians to renew the exemption

Thanks Alistair.
I waded through PS Delta Queen's website, and found a nearly-affordable 3 day cruise from 3.5.08. My planning has started.
All of the website is phrased like yacht sales 'If you need to ask for the price, you shouldn't be buying a yacht'.
