As a real beginner to steam (but been a wanabe for a long time), I've taken the plunge and am starting to collect all the bits - TVR1 engine, Krick Steam Launch and Sandy from ACS is building me a boiler and has supplied lots of other bits (Lubricator, Oil separator, Gas tank), Oh and I've ordered Scale Model Steamboats by Phillip Vaughan Williams so in theory with 30 years experience of building things, what could go wrong :D
A lot I guess :(
I've been reading loads of build threads on various forums but as a beginner I've not seen what I would call a "circuit diagram" for a steam installation. In the same way that when building an electrical circuit you don't wanna get the polarity of yer diodes wrong, I don't want connect things up the wrong way round in the world of steam! Maybe the book when it arrives will answer my questions but if it doesn't, have any of you guys got such a diagram.

Hi PD's & Greebo - good to see you select ACS as your preferred components supplier.....go to the JMC link from our home page & view
Voici quelques définitions techniques utilisées dans le vaporisme.
From there you will find a printable 'mechanical schematic of components' page view ....."circuit diagram"....which will answer all of your questions :) - it is simple/logical/complete & you will not fault it
Oh BTW, steam & electricity are both the same...they both need :respect2 so not to be burnt.....
-
Thanks Derek, tried to access the info but there seems to be a problem with the website and my Franglais aint too good so maybe I'll try again in the morning.

:D :D :yeah
Hi PD's,
Hi Greebo....(no I wont' let on your real name)...can't trust the Aussies with such info.....:hehe :hehe :music ..anyway Welcome aboard the good ship PD' I am sure you will find lots of help and ideas to keep you occupied and there are a great many very knowledgeable, and very helpfull characters in the crew to steer you on your way.....and a lot of good hearted banter....
Don't get to hung up, I will draw you up a full connection sketch and send it along with your boiler....should be ready in approx 2 weeks.
Derek.....how are you getting on?...did you find the coupling info I sent by PM of any help? if not give me some specific dimensions and I will see what can be done.
Best regards to all.
Sandy. :D :angel :beer :computer

Hi PD’s …..Greebo…. I see Sandy has posted that he will provide a steam/gas connection schematic with you boiler package & engine etc… only problem may be that it may be ¼ Scottish, ¼ Gallic & 50% illegible so have posted the FROG version here for you outside of PD as I had a problem with the ‘pdf file  – my French is also abysmal so thankfully JMC has provided most translations – you won’t be sorry with your ACS equipment………………………...Derek

Hi PD's... so Sandy asks...........
Derek.....how are you getting on?...did you find the coupling info I sent by PM of any help? if not give me some specific dimensions and I will see what can be done.
Thanks Sandy... they all looked :ohno ...too modern & technical or moderrn but primative :!: ... so I discussed :gather with the 1/25 scale crew & they confirm insufficient room to engage :hammer the 10 BA studs & nuts of a crown pin style fixed coupling set
May have to put these on the back burner whilst I try :thinking a little more....... :music :coffee

Hi PD’s & for the benefit of Greebo…..do yourself a favor & consider a set of tube benders [as per the .jpg] from your hobby shop….WWW.DUBRO.COM …..for 1/8” OD tube = No 785A, & 5/32” OD tube = No 786B…. about $20.00 AUD each…. will save a lot of  tears & broken/thinned/convoluted….tube rejects
Â
The K&S WEB site nor the DUBRO people do not mention….but certainly brass tube seems to bend without convolutions if the bend area is pre heated to say 800>1000 degrees C [white hot] & left to cool [remove the external products of oxidation] prior to bending Â
Â
These benders will allow you to achieve what you planned with no DOGS legs …& ”outa“ square piano accordion convoluted rubbish bends - Derek Â
