Title: Hi from Aus
Post by: aussie on January 05, 2007, 12:17:56 PM
Hi.  My name is Barry, I'm 59 and heading for retirement at the end of '07.
I love building things, from RC scale biplanes to furniture to guitars to electronics to model boats. So far I have completed one boat, a sea going cabin cruiser/ fishing boat with 3.5 cc plane engine and RC.  I have a partially completed RC Electric and the hull of a Krispie which I did according to the plan but used resin soaked pantyhose instead of cardboard. 2 subsequent layers of matt and there the challenge ended (about 20? years ago.) I am going to finish it before starting Chieftain from the plan in Model boats around 1973.
I was immediately attracted to this paddle tug by the picture of the model on the cover.  BTW does anyone know of the ownership of that particular model, or does anyone have a picture of it, or a scan of the cover.  All I have is a black & white photocopy of the cover and would love a colour picture.

Bye for now.

PS Krispie can be seen on my website at www.geocities.com/b_larkin
