A number of new articles on steam engines have been added to the Downloads section of the website. My sincere thanks to Malcolm Beak for taking the time to sort them out and send them.
There's some very useful stuff which should interest a lot of our members. You'll find the files in the Steam Engine Articles area.

I see that a few people have downloaded the new files - I realise that Malcolm probably doesn't want thanks, but lets face it, he went out of his way to provide the material - So a quick "thankyou" is not a lot to ask for surely?
Basically TALK to each other, and say thanks when something useful is uploaded to the site!
It's only common courtesy after all, or are good manners a thing of the past now? I certainly hope not!

YES,
A BIG THANK YOU TO Malcom for making the articles available to us, and welcome to Paddleducks. I have some of the articles published originally in Model Boats, but it is real nice to have another source of them (plus the hope of new articles). Now if we could only get Peter Arnot and Basil Harley on board with some of there designs and articles.
Regards,
Gerald

Malcolm has been busy again!!
This time a superb five part article from The Model Engineer magazine, dated 1944. It gives a great account of the trials and tribulations of getting a steam powered sidewheel paddler to work! Complete with the stability issues I'm sure we've all had with one model or another!
It's definately well worth reading!
You'll find it in our Downloads are - Click on "Magazines", and then "The Model Engineer".
Many thanks yet again to Malcolm!
