Title: Model Engineer 1944
Post by: steamboatmodel on October 25, 2006, 10:57:29 PM
Hi All,
I am looking for an article publisher in Model Engineer in 1944, by Henry Greenly on a Three Cylinder Single Acting Paddle Engine. There is a plan for it printed in Model Marine Steam by Stan Bray, but I would like to see the original article and plans.
Regards,
Gerald

I have the article you are interested in. Got it from a good friend in Australia who has a bound volume of Model Engineer for 1944. Would you like me to e-mail the files to you? The article will be somewhat of a disapointment. It is not a construction article like you get in Live Steam or Home Shop Machinist.

Hi Edwards,
If you could email it to me it would be appreciated. I think the article by Stan Bray is missing something and I would like to compare it to the original item. We have some of the Model Engineer Magazines, but the years from 1939 to 1945 are very spotty with quite a few missing ( My Father mentioned something about the Canadian Army giving Him a tour of Europe ( England, North Africa, Sicily, Italy, Holland, France, and Germany) all expense paid during that time).
Thanks
Gerald

Gerald

I think the article you want is byVictor Harrison. There are a series of 5 articles, and the drawings for the 3-cyl engine arein the second one. You will find them under Downloads/Magazines/The Model Engineer.
