Hello to you all

My name is Roger and I live in a small town called Tring, Hertfordshire in England. Tring is about 40 miles from London.
My main model interest is in steam powered boats and sailing yachts. Currently moored at my quayside is a Cheddar "Gemini" engine with a vertical  boiler installed in a Victorian river launch, I also own a Steam Picket boat "Iron Duke" (as seen on the front cover of Cheddar Models last catalogue), which I'm currently refurbishing. I intend to replace the Cheddar "Pegasus V4" engine (not many were made) with a Cheddar "Proteus" steam plant with automatic gas & water control. (I would be happy to post some digital pics for anyone interested)
Other projects for my retirement 6 years away!, include building a Tug possibly Mountfields "Cruiser" to use the Pegasus V4 steam plant. I rather like the look of Mountfields "Britannia" pilot boat, I have a well run in ! Cheddar "Pintail" V twin oscillating engine which would do as a power plant ?.
I came upon "Paddleducks" via ACS engineering links page, Sandy Campbell has been most helpful regarding information re bits for my steam plants.
I was a member of Cheddar Steam Club for many years, however, the journey down 3/4 times a year became a bit of a pain plus with the demise of Cheddar Models I did not renew my membership. I have joined Luton & District Model Boat Club. the lake is about 12 miles away from home. better than a round trip of 380 miles !

Well thats me I hope it is of interest , sorry I do chatter on rather longer than I should
