Title: Mini Portable Steam Engines
Post by: paddlesteamerman1 on October 17, 2006, 07:23:52 PM
Hi PD's  :D

I have a rather small steam engine, that is very basic, just a boiler that powers one piston and a fly wheel. I was wondering if anyone knows if I can get accessories to compliment the engine, or is it even possible to have it power a small paddle steamer model :?:  I think I would like something a bit more interesting than just that one wheel :!:
And with the boilers that everyone is talking about on PD's, do they require special fuel such as the camping blocks you can buy from Lyal Eales or can they run on just wood, coal etc :?:

Thanks :sunglasses

post a picture of your engine so we can see what we can do for you. Boilers....Hmmm there are regulations regarding boilers in australia which differ to the standards oversea's but the methods can still be applied most choose a gas burner and tank hope this helps :D

cheers Anthony
