Post by: Walter Snowdon on October 06, 2006, 05:35:43 AM
Our good friend Eddy did me a BIG favour last week (no, he didnt buy the beer( he rang to say that he had found a  partly completed Metcalf Mouldings hull of the diesel  electric paddler TALISMAN on Ebay in some obscure listing and NOT LISTED AS A PADDLER OR A MODEL and was I interested. WAS I !!!!! they dont call me Talisman for nothing. He brought it to the club on Wednesday, with all windows cut out, deckbeams fitted, decks cut out, paddle sponsons started and 2 sets of plans plus all the articles from Model Boats on building and detailing her. My cuprunneth over and all for the princely sum of £55 plus carriage! A big thanks Eddy the beers are on me next week. Incidentaly this 48th scale hull measures out at 56 inches long, I had to drop the back seat of my car to get it in.
