Title: Medway Queen and John H Amos and Maid of the Loch
Post by: David Allinson on August 24, 2006, 05:23:08 AM
Walter.
Great news for the two southern ships.
Do you happen to know if the Maid of Loch, after her trial run up her new slipway, has finally been pulled out of the water for the work to start on her hull?
Regards
David

Things are obviously moving very quickly on both vessels Len, which is great to hear!

Walter is planning another paddler get together for the end of september, and has already threatened us with a collection tin! (http://www.paddleducks.co.uk/forum/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif)Hopefully he can raise a few quid as I'm sure every penny comes in handy.

 Regards
 Eddy

Understand the Maid is to remain afloat until the end of the summer season - closing her to the public now would reduce income to the vessel.

She just came out of the water for  half an hour to test the rebuilt steam slipway, and no work was done on her  then.
