Hello All, name is Jim here. My interest other than anything Remote Control is varied. Started with boats, went to aircraft, now as age catches up love building small steam engines. The reason I came here was searching for info on an old river paddlewheeler I had remembered seeing long time ago. Well found a pic of it here so now will be looking for more info on it. I want to build the engines and possible power it with live steam. That boat, is the Zulu Paddlewheeler.

Well on to the forum, have a great day

Welcome Jim to the friendliest and most informative web site you'll ever find about paddleboats. We are sure you'll enjoy your time on here and remember to keep pictures coming of any of your models.

cheers

Nice to have you with us Jim - I have to admit that I've been looking for plans for the Zulu for some time, but haven't managed to locate any, so if you do find some, please let me know....

Welcome to Paddleducks.

The June 1982 Model Boats contains part 3 of a series on building Zulu. Maybe the April issue had some info on the plans.

Unfortunately I dont have this :(

The problem is that the new owners of the magazine don't seem to be very good at supplying plans etc. I know of two people who have ordered and paid for plans but haven't received anything except excuses....

That's sad as Nexus had a good range of plans and their service was always excellent - It seems that Encanta (the new owners) aren't anywhere near as efficient :-(
