Hi all
I promised Walter that I would post some pictures showing the progress of his 'BOHEMIA' kit build, so here goes. First three snaps attached, more to follow in a week's time. Question :?: Shall we show you a photo of Walter :?: Perhaps not this time :( but watch this space.
Any replies/comments will be answered by Walter.

OOPS :!: Just noticed my 'deliberate' mistake :( . It's the PORT paddle wheel, sorry.

Here is some information on the PS BOHEMIA. She was built in 1841 in Czechoslovakia by J J Rustonlm and was the first Czech steamship.
Walter's model is a modified Pelikan (Czech) kit (still available).

Surely it is the starboard paddle, the floats are usually attached to the spokes so that, when in the water, they are pushed - not dragged - through the water when the boat is running ahead, to eliminate stress on the bolts....

Hi folks, I am back on line at last! After 2 visits to the computer doctor, I discovered that the Enter button on the keyboard had stuck down, giving every sign of a trojan horse virus. result- new keyboard!. Back to subject. The photos from Bob ashow her in a very rough unfinished condition- sorry. For those interested, the paddle wheels are made from carriage wheels (sold for horse drawn model vehicles) with every other spoke removed. Not scale but they have a very period look and are VERY easy to make!. Regards, Walter.

Looks a great model, I bought one for my son last november. he populated his with figures from the Aden Cambell range. It was surprisingly difficult to find victorian/edwardian era figures that looked roughly the same scale.
Well done
