Title: Dresden's "White Fleet" - new book
Post by: Waverley on June 13, 2006, 12:12:10 PM
Hi all

Saw this on ebay today - but putting it here as its more a notification of a new paddler book.

Its by Peter Blath, titled ""Sachsen's weisse flotte" (Saxony's White Fleet)ISBN:  3897029499  , published 2006

German language

The ebay posting below says a bit about the book - if I understand it correctly there are over 200 illustrations of this large and famous fleet still operating nine (I think) paddlers on the Elbe out of Dresden.

Copies also advertised in "abebooks" at about the same price.

Check it out if you are interested and can cope with the German language - I'd be interested in feedback from anyone who acquires a copy.

Regards

Hi David,

you are right this book contains 200 pictures, but not only about the survivors. This book covers the whole history of the Dresden elbe fleet, with pics from the shipyard, full ahead, at the berthing places and much more. It seems to be a good book 8)

Kind regards Scotfriend
