I am looking for an old style of universal joint I have not seen for some years. It was about 3/16 diameter and about 1 1/2 ins long with a plated brass ferrule each end to take a shaft about 1/16 diam. to 3/32 diam. and these were connected by a small spring. I need 3 of them and would like to find a commercial source if anyone knows, although it is not for a paddler, the model has space limitations in the hull. If I cant find them I guess I will have to make them.
Thanks

Do they have to be flexible? There is a small operation in the UK who makes solid aluminium couplings. His standard ones are metric, but he may be prepared to make specials. I doont think he has a website outside eBay, but from his eBay shop hanna-parts you can get his e-mail address.

I know the type you mean, but not where you can get them now...
I use these - http://www.westbourne-models.com/erol.html#1727x0&&http%3A%252F%252Fwww.westbourne-model.co.uk%252FModel-boat-fittings.htm (find 'couplings' in the left side menu...it's in 'model boat accessories' after 'Flags & Decals' - look at Raboesch couplings)
This type also might work - http://www.prestwich.ndirect.co.uk/hdwrrubbersetc.htm
