I've been thinking today about creating a web based river trade reenactment game!
Every participant createes there own company that can be part of eg. wood, wool, cotton trade. They can then own steamers etc.
I could create a small bit of software to fro players to download and by a the end of a certain period of time someone would becpome the River Tycoon.
Expressions of interest wanted...more details as I make them!

Hmmm, tell us more :o

You want to know more eh?
Well basically we have a small town by a river that is basically untouched by trade and business..until now. each player starts off with (fake) $200 grant from the government this they can use to buy an abandonned building and form a company eg saw mill. People wishing to use wood then to say build a steamer request to buy wood from the saw mill...they pay the saw mill saw mill makes money.
The winner of the game would be the person with the most money at the end of an alotted time.
If I worked it out correctly too I could make a program and send it to schools for trials to show kids a) how to use money wisely and operate a business while learning the history of river trade

After all land is taken up by businesess people can ebcome employees and make money that way too. Employees start with a $100 government grant

Ok i just finished today the webpage (I use front page) and the first thing you need to download as a player.
By the way Eddy until the site is 100% ready there's gonna be a nice big fat advertisment for Paddle Ducks!
So everyone get ready for the experience that'll only come round once..unless someone steals my idea!
