Title: Tugs and towboats
Post by: Eddy Matthews on January 05, 2006, 09:48:39 AM
For those that don't know, Joe Brown (Towboat Joe) has just setup a new Yahoo group for anyone interested in modelling tugs or towboats.

The group is brand new, so don't expect miracles, but knowing Joe as I do I'm sure it will grow into a real wealth of knowledge on these two fascinating areas of model boats...

You can find the group at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/tugsandtows/

Hi Eddy,

I joined Joe Brown's group with no expectation of miracles, or mechanical alligators either. No miracles yet, but there has been talk about Phil Pace's mechanical alligators and potential uses for his alligators that might provide lawyers and bail-bondsmen with a lot of new customers.

Like to let fellow members know we're not talking about alligator warping tugs. Phil is designing a kit that resembles a real alligator down in the bayou. He's experimenting with ways of making the mouth open by r/c.

Memo to self: Send suggestion to Phil for making bigger alligators— to be called, of course "Tug Warping Alligators."
