Title: Irrawaddy paddle steamer
Post by: AlistairD on December 31, 2005, 10:21:16 AM
Just discovered this site yesterday about the only  remaining Irrawaddy paddle steamer. The videos are good, especially the first  one with the typhoon whistle and the machinery one showing a triple expansion  diagonal set in action

Hi Alistair,

Your URL: www.phwasawtravel.com/profile.htrm for showing a triple expansion diagonal set in action didn't do anything when I clicked on it. Maybe it's because of my old macintosh and obsolete OS, or it mght be that the server was down when I tried it.

Best wishes,
Frank

Thanks Alistair for steering me to the web site, and to Eddy for fixing the address. Beautiful vessel, impressive web site, lousy country. Myanmar is not a good place for tourists, or the unfortunate people who live there.

Best wishes,
Frank
