Came across an interesting German site listing some very nice stainless steel paddle wheels at a very cheep price. though small, they would suit a model up to about 34 inches. also listed is a neat twin engine and boiler to match the wheels,

click English flag, then click steamengines, then click HHiescher ministeam, then clickmarine steam engines . List includes prices in euros.  Not a bad looking package for small models. The engine has aservo operated forward/reverse/ speed controlarm on it.

An interesting find Walter - How the heck did you come across that one?

Certainly cheap enough for a small model, and something to bear in mind for future projects...
